Technical Rider for Stage, Banquet, or Platform Shows

Staging Requirements:

Stage: If the audience size exceeds 50 people, it is recommended that there is a platform at least 8 feet deep and 12 feet long. If there needs to be a railing for the steps, it should be to the side of the stage, not the center, for best sightlines.

Positioning: If the room is rectangular, please position the stage in the middle of the long side of the rectangle. In that position, as opposed to one end of the room, almost all of the tables in the room are much closer.

Podium: If a podium is onstage it should be off to one side and back a few feet so as to not block viewing of the performance.

Props: Two un-upholstered bar stools, and one standard dining height chair.

Please call to discuss if the stage is to be shared with a band, if the performance is outdoors, or if a dance floor will be placed in front of the stage.

Logistical Requirements:

Green Room: Exclusive use of a secure room close to the performance area.

Timing: Due to the interactive nature of the show, Alexander cannot perform while the audience is eating. If a meal is planned, please schedule the show to start after dessert and coffee have been served.

Audio / Visual Requirements:

Sound: An adequate sound system consisting of:

  • One lavalier microphone

  • One wireless handheld microphone

  • Mic Stand

  • A dedicated XLR or ¼” input on the sound board for a remote-operated music cue system

Sound Check: Requested at least 30 minutes before doors open.

Lighting: Existing room lighting is usually sufficient. If the venue has theatrical lighting, please give a basic full stage wash and adjustable house lights.

IMAG: If the audience exceeds 150 people, IMAG is highly recommended for optimal visibilty.

Screens: If your venue contains screens, please let us know the resolution so we can prepare holding graphics for the performance.

Recording Policy: Video or audio recording of the performance is prohibited without prior consent.
