Magic at The Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, CO

When I was asked to appear at The Stanley Hotel for a week long run this summer I knew it’d be a memorable experience. The custom built theater was designed to present an evening of incredible wonders for their guests.

From far and wide audiences travel to the beautiful mountains of Colorado and find themselves at the historic hotel. Within the walls of the hotel is Aiden Sinclair’s Underground. Surrounded by artifacts of mysterious nature, the show begins when the guests arrive and make their way through a secret entrance into the theater.

Set just on the edge of Rocky Mountain National Park, I would spend my days outside preparing for the show that evening.

Taking time to reflect on the night before, thinking about scripting, gestures, and details to make the performance better each night was a powerful tool in cultivating a world class experience. The most rewarding part of the week of shows was speaking with audiences after and hearing how amazed they were.

Alexander Boyce is a sleight of hand artist and magician whose performances have been seen in The Magic Castle, The McKittrick Hotel, The Rainbow Room, Lincoln Center and many private corporate events around the world. He’s performed at company holiday parties, meetings, and theatrical shows in New York City, New Jersey, Connecticut, Brooklyn, Long Island, and all over the United States.
